The Golden Geese Farm has its own breeding flocks: the Emdem Goose, more commonly called "White Goose", and the Maxipalm Sepalm Goose, more commonly called "Toulouse Goose".
Incubation is carried out for the most part in the spring, for geese naturally try to breed between the months of April and early July. Egg-laying stops during the intense summer heat.

Let us mention that the drake and the gander (male goose) both possess a corkscrew penis, which is not the case for a lot of bird species and renders the task arduous for most young males...
Thus, a female will only lay up to 30 eggs per season, compared to 240 eggs for a hen. It all depends on the sexual activity of the gander and his experience.
The Golden Geese Farm manages to have their geese lay twice a year, in the spring and fall seasons (with some time to rest in between). It allows them to always have goslings available to other producers and individuals.
Most goose farms in Québec and Ontario as well as some mills supplies one-day goslings from The Golden Geese Farm.
