The Golden Geese Farm was created in 2001. The farm is located in St. Gabriel-de-Brandon, in Lanaudière, Québec. It is among the first farms to specialize in the production of meat and force-fed geese.
At first, the farm produced only meat geese, with birds being slaughtered under federal inspection and sold in one piece to butchers and the catering industry through La Maison du gibier, a distributor which has achieved one of the finest reputations in game distribution, in Canada and the United States alike.

On popular demand, The Golden Geese Farm later decided to offer cuts - for instance steaklets, thighs, goose fat and giblets. This allowed smaller families to consume goose meat without eating leftovers over extended periods of time.
Subsequently, the farm owners took a special course to learn how to properly force-feed geese, which led to the production of Québec goose foie gras, a very rare foodstuff. This product, which used to be imported in the canned form, is now available locally, fresh or processed.
To their clients' great satisfaction, the owners of The Golden Geese Farm now offer superior-quality goose meat, whole or in cuts, as well as various processed products made from locally produced geese in the Province of Québec.
