The Golden Geese Farm starts and rears goslings for its own production as well as for other farmers.

Rearing is separated into two steps:

• 1. The period during which goslings need warmth (brooding): this is done inside a building by age group. As goslings grow older, they need less warmth and monitoring.
  
  
• 2. The grazing period: geese enjoy playing outside in the open air where they are not limited by space. There, they can run freely, play in the puddles when it rains and eat fresh grass in addition to their usual grain.
  

Geese, Muscovy ducks and guinea fowls from The Golden Geese Farm are fed with natural grain, free of animal by-product or growth hormones, which is well appreciated by the consumers nowadays.

Slaughtering is carried out under federal inspection, in a slaughterhouse. Each bird is inspected by a veterinarian and approved by Health Canada.

Birds are vacuum-packed in order to guarantee greater freshness.

The farmer works hard to produce quality meat. It all starts during the birds' first days of life. The happier the bird during its growth, the higher the quality of the meat.
